Water quality professionals and those responsible for storing wastewater are under a great deal of pressure to innovate and to become more responsive to the needs of the public. This is as we have all heard the news stories coming from out of Michigan and other places about water quality. One gathering that seeks to bring together professionals who can address these concerns is the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC), which will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from 23-25 Sep 2019. This annual gathering of water quality professionals is the largest of its kind in North America and offers professionals from around the world with the best water quality education and training available.
The goals of WEFTEC are threefold. First, to present to the public and water quality professionals the cutting-edge technologies that have been made in this field over the past several years. This is often helpful to our peers and to the general public because innovation tends to spawn greater innovation. These advancements are in the areas of storage and treatment of wastewater. The second goal of the conference is to serve as a forum for domestic and international business opportunities. Finally, the conference is intended to promote invaluable peer-to-peer networking among its registrants.
